Potted Hostas

Do you think these Hostas need potting on.

    Yes I think so.  Tip them out of the pot and look at the roots, I think they will have filled those pots.

    If you wanted more this would be a good time to get the breadknife out and divide them, then pot them all on.

    Yes get them out of those pots and while they're still manageable you can saw them in half and get new plants. The roots are really really thick and now is a good time to do it. Just make sure you have growing buds in each bit.

    Thank you for the information. I will tip them out of their pots and then decide whether to split or just pot on. :)

    Don't split them just for the sake of splitting unless you actually need more plants. They'll make much better , more impressive,single specimens if you just move them into a bigger pot.
