Newspaper pots for growing seeds

    I was wondering about making some newspaper pots. I have promised a load of tomato plants to a neighbour for his church sale, and I usually end up giving spares to neighbours, who rarely give me the pots (or labels) back. I am not just being stingy. My plastic pots are reused year after year, in most cases, and I have no idea what others do, of course. How long would paper pots last and are there special requirements for watering plants in them? The tomatoes are currently all pricked out and in 3inch pots. It would be a bit of a job to make paper ones and pot them all on, but...
