We have rampant bindweed all over the place but it's shorter and more laterally inclined than the Belgian version we had before. It's also cunning. The top few inches of soil have white roots which are easy to spot but they all spur off thick, entangled, corkscrew like brown mother roots which give the impression of going down all the way to China.
