    Excellent, thank you!

    I rescued it from my mother's garden when she passed away. She was very fond of it and always said it was a bamboo.

    One of its common names is Sacred Bamboo, so she was right in a way (although it isn't really a bamboo).
    Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
