Cerastium tomentosum

TheveggardenerTheveggardener Posts: 1,057

Is snow in summer the common name for cerastium tomentosum. I want to buy this for our rockery and don't want to buy the wrong seeds. Sorry about the bolt type but I can't seem to change it and don't know why..

In a word yes but common names can be shared between many plants.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Yes it is, but be warned, "vigorous" is an understatement - it's a thug, so be careful not to put it near more delicate alpines.  I have it in the base of a privet hedge, and even there it spreads.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
