Has anyone else flaming pieris suffered from frostbite overnight? Really disappointed as it looked amazing. My rhododendron flowers have also suffered too

We lose the new shoots on our pieris to frost every year ☹️  Goodness knows how it ever grows bigger, but it does 🤔

My flaming piers is getting black marks on the leaves which I can scrape off but would like to know what the problem is. Is this what your frostbite is like Ryan?  Any ideas would be gratefully received. Thanks

I heard about Pieris lacebug last night for the first time Pam - have a google and see if the symptoms match ......

Frost causes the new red leaves to go brown and shrivel up

I did a nasty double-take on this thread title. :o
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
