Antirrhiums

ViolettiaViolettia Posts: 20
I have sown Antirrhium seeds and they are now starting to get leggy.  They have their second set of leaves (not seed leaves). Should I pinch out the tops, to encourage a bushy plant?  I know this is recommended on some plants, not sure which though.

According to wikihow (so l am not sure how accurate this is),  you can pinch out the tips when the seedlings have 6 leaves.

I pinch the tops out on mine, gives you much bushier plants, and more flowers.

I have Antirrhiums which have germinated on a heated mat they are tiny should they be grown on with bottom heat or could they cope in the greenhouse now?

I take seedlings off the heat as soon as they have two opened leaves. cover with propagator lid only for a few days, then remove lid.

Thanks all, for your excellent advice.  This will be my first time growing these from seed.  Usually I buy them.  Still a way to go with them yet, fingers crossed, I will actually reap what I have
    sown :-)
