Over the last couple of days, yellow blossom has appeared on my bay tree. Is this normal please? Help.

Mine is covered in it, it was the same last year so I assume it's normal but someone on her will know.

It's normal, all shrubs flower, it's the way they reproduce when we don't interfere

I don't know about cuttings but I often get seedlings in my garden which can be dug up and potted on.

You can take 6 inch basal cuttings of ripened wood in Sept/Oct and root in a cold frame or with some protection. They should be ready for potting on in the early summer. Keep them in pots for the first 2 year and overwinter under glass. As you can see it can be done but takes a while.

that's interesting. Mine flowers every year and I've never seen a seed yet, I thought maybe it need a warmer climate to set seed. I do get some suckers though, if I want some new plants

I'm in the Isle of Wight so maybe it's just mild enough .
