Sunflowers- how do you grow yours?

    I've not started sowing yet. Purchased a few different varieties all growing to differing heights.

    Out of curiosity, I put a few seeds in the ground last year as well and they didn't amount to much. Had excellent success with getting them relatively established in pots first though.

    I get lots courtesy of the messy birds! Must confess I just leave them where they are and work round them   haven't planted any since my girls were little many moons since.

    I've sown half a dozen 'evening sunrise' in emlea pot's. They are pretty tall and thin pots and they four are onto their true leaf stage
