Fuchsia cutting

Hello!
I've grown a cutting from a hardy fuchsia. Just checking - I should plant it out this year as soon as all risk of frost has passed? And plant it quite deep to protect from frost next winter?? Feeling nervous - don't want to lose it!

It won’t like sitting in water, but yes, get it planted out if it’s a hardy one.  I would cut it down a bit to promote growth from the base,  cut the long stem in the middle, right down to the green leaves and the side shoot by half, it will promote strong growth and flower in the summer.
It wont need planting any deeper, just put some mulch around the base in the winter.

I've always read to plant hardy fuchsias deep, it's what I did anyway.
