Definitely no flowers this year, but it will probably sprout from the base with some new stems which should flower next year. Wait and see what happens, and if you can strike your cutting you'll have a back-up too.
I guess the above photo is the broken off bit. I can see 2 potential cuttings there. If you cut each stem that has leaves near to where it joins the stem. Remove the little shoots and plunge them right up against the side of a pot with some gritty compost so that just the top 3" is above the compost, with a bit of luck, roots will start growing from where you've removed the little shoots.
