Bob Luck, Dalias

Could someone please advise the best compost for Dahlias I have 3 wonderful tubers and I am going to plant them in pots?

    Hi Bob. You need a good, robust compost such as John Innes No 3. Dahlias do well in pots.

    Use large pots (wider rather than taller) if you can.  Dahlias become top-heavy very quickly and get blown over rather too easily.  The JI#3 will also help with that as it is much heavier then multi-purpose compost.
