Alocasia has a discoloured leaf?

Posts

  • Any idea why this Alocasia has a discoloured leaf? It's in indirect light,  we spray it with water and the soil is still damp from when we bought it so it hasn't lacked water. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Is it possible it is the oldest leaf?
It may be damaged low down, sometimes we don't see a minor scrape or bend, perhaps at or just below the soil.
If it is the outer most leaf, (not coming from the centre of the clump/group)  many plants lose the outer oldest leaf first.
Sorry can't be more helpful but it will bring this to the top where someone who knows your plant will see.

I agree , the oldest leaves die off  and I'd say that's what's happening there.
Nice plant , I love it.
    Devon.
