Hello everyone. Been out for the day - market, restaurant, SM and garden centre in Les Sables d'Olonne. Got up to 26C so a bit hot, even in a cotton t-shirt and linen trousers. Now to bake 2 cakes and a a batch of biscuits and then pot up some kitchen containers with pretties to decorate our stands at the plant fair tomorrow. I have 2 enamel colanders, an enamel steamer and a Belgian chocolate biscuit tin.
I have had a go at baking hot cross buns for the last few years Busy-Lizzie but not this year as I'm driving Possum up to Namur on Easter Sunday and she doesn't like them. Maybe do some for OH tomorrow evening if I'm not too knackered after the plant fair.
Good to see you LP. Has anyone seen FairyGirl?
Best of luck to Mr Pat and anyone else feeling poorly. Good idea about textures Dove.

Afternoon all. Hope everyone enjoying the warm weather. Just potted-up some bedding plants in containers for Easter/Bank Holiday pressies instead of eggs. I have used white geraniums and trailing pansies. Take care all. Any buns and ale left Dove??
Sounds a good day out, Obelixx. Been quite busy. Finished edging the upper middle bed. Bought 6 sacks bark chips to finish veg garden, cream and a box of strawberries. Went to Good Friday service. Made 2 big Pavlovas and a chocolate mousse for tomorrow. Washed up bombstruck kitchen. Why do I always get chocolate and whisked egg whites everywhere?
Very warm today, 24°, been wearing a dress, but not for gardening this morning.
I have wondered where Fairygirl is too.

OH came in with a long piece of baling twine and my best trowel (English) so I asked him what he wanted it for. He said concreting, he wouldn't tell me what. So I took my best trowel and gave him an old one. He's just called me out to see what he was doing. He has edged the long border! It has a beautiful straight edge now.

I’ve a feeling @Fairygirl is enjoying retirement in her garden
There must be something in the air @Obelixx 👀. my Under Gardener arrived home from work a bit early and, totally unasked, he set about enlarging my sunny island bed just as @WonkyWomble had explained when she was here the other week 😃
And he’s helped me get a load of gunge from the depths of the pond. 💕
