ID for tiny plant in lawn please?

Saw this little plant in my 'Mini Meadow Lawn' just now and can't identify it.
I may have to wait till it actually flowers to ID unless someone out there knows  :)
It is about 3" tall at the moment.
Could it be a Forget-me not perhaps?

Nope not a cowslip ... I’ll get my books out ...

🤔 Polygala vulgaris aka Common Milkwort maybe?

The leaf does look fuzzy/hairy like forget me knots.  Is the leaf very soft and fuzzily silky if you stroke it?
You have a bittercress behind it, I know it is a wild flower meadow and all but....just in case.

I just went outside and found a forget me knot coming into flower, yours looks like one.
Just your plant maybe not all there if you gave it a trim last year when it was coming in.

Ah!  Scale may be confusing me ... I thought it was much bigger than a Forget me not.

It could just be a chance forget-me-not seedling that is struggling in the lawn hence the small size.I know some plants do stay small but still manage to flower if the conditions are not quite right.
Anyway it is nice to see what self seeds in the lawn!

The buds look a bit like a silene of some sort possibly...

@Dovefromabove it is madpenguins excellent photos, big enough so we can see it, and not fifty feet away from an upstairs window, in the dark, in fog. :D
Oh there's a point is that milkwort the little white flowered thing that does have that kind of looking fuzzy leaves doesn't it.
Looks like we won't have long to wait.

madpenguin . Are your snakes heads fritillaries up and flowering ?
Mine got squished by tree surgeons though I know they can't help it dropping branches. Sniff.... gutted, only got a couple still standing.

@Rubytoo 😊 the milkwort I’m thinking of usually has blue flowers http://plant-identification.co.uk/skye/polygalaceae/polygala-vulgaris.htm
