Before and After

This was the "Garden" when we moved here 18months ago,covered mainly with rotten decking,to the point of being dangerous! When that came down it revealed a part of the wall had tumbled down too,plus some old steps?

    Quite a transformation :) I love your stone wall.
    SW Scotland
  • Not the greatest wall builders,bit wonky,but I've planted two Pyracantha,an Orange,and a Gold one,to help disguise it. There were also 11 Leylandii down the left side,hiding the wall and spreading right over the garden! At least 20ft tall.
    Still lots to do,but getting there.........not as daunting anymore!
    Enjoy @AnniD  😊

    Well done. The wall looks fine to me. What a great view you have!

  • Yes,i couldn't resist the tin Robin from Trago Mills! Got lots of real ones too,Bullfinches came yesterday,and Goldfinches arrived about two weeks ago,so they are adding to the Robins ,Sparrows Blackbirds etc.

    @Valley Gardener.  To have transformed that in 18 months is amazing. Well done!

    @Valley Gardener Thanks  ;)
    You have certainly put a lot of work in, l think seeing what was under that decking would have sent me to my bed for a week ! You have a lovely view as well, and it's nice to bring the wildlife back. As you say, when you can see progress being made, it spurs you on.  :)

    Wall looks great!!
    A dry stone wall (which is far from easy) as opposed to the mortar bound stone wall to the right, that I presume you inherited...
    well done.
    Just another day at the plant...
  • @owd potter yes,you're right the whole patched up thing was inherited,but we didn't realise the decking was rotted,not that I wanted it,but it had to be done sooner than later,one thing led to another,with the tumbled down wall being hidden by it!
