Doubling up Tattie Bags?

Just wondering if anyone had any success (or complete failure) putting another type of veg alongside potatoes in sacks. Thinking of something that grows up rather than down such as Beans or Peas?

I've only ever grown broad bread beans and peas so another solution would be a tender bean after I'd harvested the pots. Am only doing early pots this year as last year binned most of my main crops as they sprouted before I ate them but I'd rather get rid of bags after one harvest.

In my experience potatoes grow up as well as down ... each plant produces a great deal of foliage.
It would also be very difficult to harvest the potatoes without disturbing anything else growing there.

Another thought is that my brother is a big potato farmer (in both senses of the word 😆) and if there was any way to get two crops out of one field he’d be doing it 😉
