Advice on what I can plant here (damp soil)

Hi!
I'm sorting out this corner of my garden. The 'rockery' layout was already here when we moved in & the boarder stones are sunk in & hard to dig up.
The corner is basically a mound of earth on top of around half a foot of soil then is hardcore, (beck runs under our garden & house so the garden is built up) All done before we bought the house.
So far I've put a buddleja at the top in the corner.
I'd like to plant between the stones & plant shrubs or a carpet plant where the white stones are.
The soil is always damp  it's covered with membrane that gets moss on & the corner only gets morning sun & is south-east facing.
All the plants I've looked up so far like well drained soil & sun.
Plants that attract bees & butterflies would be good if possible.
Thanks.
(apologies if the picture is large, I'm trying to resize it)

You should do well with astilbes, astilboides, astrantia, chelone, dicentra, filipendula, hakonechloa, hosta, ligularia, primulas, rodgersia...

I grew all of these in a north facing damp bed but with no shade so early and late sun.

you could try pulmonaria in one of the higher gaps - so less wet. It doesn't mind shade. It's a good pollinator plant - flowers nice and early (mine are in full bloom now on a steep north facing bank and were abuzz with bees today.)

Oh a good list. Thank you both!
Everything that goes in a rockery obviously likes dry soil so I was stumped beyond ferns.
I love hostas but I’ve heard so do slugs & I have a lot of those.
I was going to remove the white stones & do a proper plant bed but I have a lot of cats around & well it’s the usual problems.
I shall have a good look at the list given.
    Thanks again

Hemp Agrimony likes damp, is happy in shade and is excellent for pollinators  :)

All the plants mentioned look fab. I’ll be spoilt for choice.
I like the wild flower look of some & I’ve had my eye on hostas for a while.
