  • My carrots (judging from my notes) seem to take between 2.5 and 3 weeks to germinate, depending on weather.
    Like bob said I’ll re sow at end of April if nothing. Cheers pal.

    Potatoes exposed to light turn green and become poisonous so you need to protect the growing tubers from light which gives rise to the tradition of earthing up.  However there are now alternatives where potatoes are grown in containers and compost is added as they grow or else under black plastic which also keep them dark.

    You need a couple of old compost bags turned inside out and some duct tape  :)
