Raspberry shoots or weeds?

  They look like raspberry shoot to me. Mine pop up all over the place, they won't stay where I planted them!

  They can be a real bugger. I had a few raspberries in a bed about 5 years ago. Spent ages digging out the roots as they had taken over a whole bed. I still got a couple of shoots pop up last year.

  looks more like young meadowsweet (a nice smelling weed) to me, not raspberries

  See the field was full of mesdowsweet last year and there are lots of similar looking leaves inside the raspberry bed! So not sure whether to weed them or not. Will try and get a photo of both this afternoon

  Raspberry shoots will have prickles ... meadowsweet won’t.

  It must be meadowsweet then. Their identical to the ones outside of the bed. They're so invasive! I put cardboard down and new soil/manure
