Can any one tell me what this is? Spanish bluebell?

Hi I’ve just dug a fair few clumps of this up from the border... worried it might be Spanish bluebells... really not sure. Don’t remember planting whatever it is! Quite large bulbs

    Afraid so. Well done for getting the bulbs out, they can be right bu**ers to remove >:) .

    If they are large bulbs they could be Camassias. I've enclosed pictures below of my Camassia for you to compare. These are lovely plants so I hope you save yours in a pot just to be sure.

  • Hmmmm thanks for reply’s... I’ve got some Cammassia they don’t look quite the same! Guessing it’s the Spanish bluebells then!!!!  :s

    I think Spanish bluebells, too. Mine are in bud at the same stage as yours. Very early.

    Removed a few clumps of these from a garden this morning ; bulbs around 8" deep in a sticky loam.................Nice !!!!
