ID for large evergreen tree

Hi,I have a large evergreen tree in my garden.It is about 20 feet tall at the moment.It has recently started to be covered in tiny pinkish blossom ,if in fact it is blossom!? This doesn't happen every year.It is very popular with the garden birds.I would just like to know what it is. Thanks, Elizabeth
