Is this a weed?

Hi everyone, I'm very new to gardening as have just bought my first house that has a garden. I'm trying to identify all the plants growing on the (overgrown) lawn. Does anyone know what this plant is? Someone has said it could be foxglove. But not sure myself. Thanks, Bryn

  • Looks like borage or comfrey. Can be killed with glyphosate but will also kill the grass

I get alkanet - the tap-root goes down a long way - a quick squirt with glyphosphate (e.g. Roundup) does the trick - in about 2 weeks it's completely dead
