Polka Beans

Hi, quick question I am growing dwarf french beans polka do they need to be grown up a wigwam? First time with these and no indication on packet of eventual height. Thanks

    Dwarf beans are short little chaps/chapesses with no ambitions to climb so they wont need a wigwam  :)

    Sorry Dove do they need any sort of support? Can’t find any information about them on the packet as regards size or shape of plants?

    Nope they’ll stand up on their own. They may flop and tangle amongst themselves a bit ... some varieties do that more than others, but there’s nothing you need to do about it other than to fossick around in the foliage to pick your lovely harvest when the time comes  Enjoy 😊

    I agree - in fact, purposely plant them so that they hold each other up.  A staggered double-row is a good way to grow them.
    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
