@B3 I was about to ask....Checked ours, no daffs, so disappointed.
Where did the GOS thread go? I used to read and enjoy it before I joined.

madpenguin that is a beautiful little viola, such a rich deep colour.

I've bumped it up for you @Rubytoo

Another sedum (or petrosedum if you're being picky) found alongside a path locally. I just liked the way this one had managed to find a crack in a vertical wall to grow in. It must have been a lucky seed to get wedged in such a tight spot. The graduated colour of the leaves is particularly nice.

You must have some rather pretty paths and pavements where you live!

I live in one of the most uncared for towns in one of the poorest boroughs in Wales. Pretty would be stretching the truth to the limits but there are some lovely plants and interesting wildlife living among the litter and dog crap :)

    Lovely pic @wild edges :)
I enjoy walking along the lane near here, just by the farm. I haven't done it regularly until I retired earlier this year, but it's been a joy. So many wildflowers, and the painted ladies have made it doubly delightful. It gets very boggy though, so requires a bit  of careful negotiating sometimes.
I've got a little plant which has been seeding into the gravel where I park my car. Must take a photo and see if you can ID it @wild edges. I can't find anything close to it when I've searched. The white flower is so tiny it's almost invisible - on a fine, short stem, and only lasts a day or two. Little rosette of foliage it grows from. Pretty little thing though, and I've discovered some in amongst the hedge in the front garden too.   :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Look at this overachiever growing in a scrap of gravel. I'm never sure why people think of such a lovely plant as weeds :/

If garden centres sold them in pots people would pay a lot of money for them.
    Shame they are so invasive.

Diminutive front runner in the wild flowers I have sown in the little front garden. Seed must have been there in the wall since the last lot I sowed last year.

Tarmac and brick suit our hollyhocks perfectly. The aubretia (we call it Donna) is quite partial to tarmac too.
