Hyacinth beetles

Hello, can anyone help. I'm new to gardening as we've just bought a new house and we are starting from scratch. Today I've opened the patio doors and there are hundreds of tiny flying beetles  they are everywhere. The only thing different is the hyacinths that we have just potter on a planter outside. What are these beetles and how do I get rid of them? They r in the house now since I've opened the door. Thanks

They could be pollen beetles. Have a look on google images and see if they match. They're pretty harmless to the garden and should head for the windows once indoors so you can let them back out again.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
  • Thank you wild edges. I've had a Google and they do look like them. I'm going to move the hyacinths away from the doors.
