Raspberries

Could anyone confirm what to do with newly planted Raspberry Polka? I planted the canes last Autumn and advice says to cut the old canes down in early Spring...now. Does this include newly planted ones which I pruned immediately after planting to around 12inches? One or two of them are showing new growth from the base.

Cut all old growth down to soil level ... fruit will be produced on the news shoots appearing from below ground now.  :)

Thank you Dove.  I saw Monty's advice on Friday and read up on it but just needed it confirming as the canes are new and could possibly have been treated differently in the first year of growing. Also  a first time raspberry grower.  Consider it done!
