On our asbestos garage roof, I
tamped on (carefully!) a thin layer of wetted manure. I then subdivided some of
an existing patch of sedum, and replanted in small patches. Hopefully the areas
will spread and knit together. From time to time I replenish any hungry/slipped
areas of the manure. It seems like a good bonus habitat for insects, birds,
etc.
