Soft potatoes, too late?

Hi,
I have about 30 wilja seed potatoes that I ordered about a month ago, and regretfully on my part I haven't planted them so the roots have grown yellow and pretty long in the box and the potatoes are quite soft now.
I've put them in the green house for chitting in the hope the roots start greening up, am I too late?
