shedbase

hi all,can someone please advise as to my shedbase needed.i didnt have the money years ago,i got given alot of sharpsand and slabs so dug out around a foot and put sharpsand down then slabs on top,shed has moved alot so now need a better base,but unsure as what to go with,need cheapest options.thankyou.shed is 8x6.on bearers.

    @dalton999.  Bumping up your thread for you, Not sure if it's a question that can be answered on this forum but you never know. There maybe someone who had the same circumstances.

    Get yourself a tractor Jack and some broken slabs and breeze blocks. Jack it up to get it level all the way round outer floor framework then treated timber whatever size is needed to run the opposite way under your floor runners.

    I have had/have a few sheds on slabs on sand, but you do need to build a strong framework to contain the sand and guard against slumping e.g. railway sleepers bolted together, short retaining wall of bricks or blocks around the perimeter of the sand pit...

  • thanks nollie for feedback,time i take sand out to get to hard ground ,i will have around half a foot down to fill,this is the problem really.as i done a raised shed on slabs so just all sand underneath but lots.
