Chilli seedlings wilting

Hey, so i have some chilli seedlings(Apache) i have started in a propagator which i also have on a heated mat in order for them to germinate. The problem as you can see in the pic is that they have shrivelled up. Not many have germinated yet so i thought it would be best to keep them on the heat. What i have done is put them near a window now since a couple of them have come up but it doesn't look like those will recover. Does anyone know what is causing this to happen? The soil (coco coir) is moist and not dry or soaked. I have grown chilli's for a few years now and they usually do well once/if they germinate.

Hi @Chriscore. What a shame, it looks like 'damping off' to me. A fungal disease that affects new seedlings causing them to collapse.
The warmth and humidity in a heated propagator are ideal conditions for it to thrive, opening the vents and wiping out condensation can help prevent it.
I usually take my seedlings out once they've popped up.

Some info from the GW website...

Best of luck with a second sowing, Apache is a nice one, the first chillies I ever grew 😃.
