What have I dug up?

Just dividing some ornamental grass and came across a RATHER LARGE bone...
Any suggestions? Plant label to show scale.

    Looks like the sort of bones you get in pet shops for dogs.
    Maybe a fox has found it and buried it in your garden.
    2 years ago I found a small round of Camembert buried a few inches under the soil in my veg patch and I don't remember sowing it. I guess the fox was waiting for it to mature :)

    Haha Pitter-patter, dont think I need any more bone and certainly don't want blood, get enough of that pruning the roses! 
    Thanks Steve, reassuring considering I live a few doors down from the Suffolk strangler or what ever they ended up naming him!

    Bit bigger than I am used to dealing with, but agree with Steve, it looks like the femur from a cow, the bit that with the tibia would form the knee joint.

    If you dig out more parts @WonkyWomble maybe you could create a "Dippy the Dinosaur"  feature in your garden ?
