Plant identification: All I know that this bulb is not hardy, I’ve had this plant for 5 yrs.

Last year the bulb split and instead of 1 flower I have several bulblets - at present I have 5 flowers. Love to know what this plant is.

The flower is similar to an aloe so I am guessing something like that.

Looks like a Lachenalia of some description .

Take a look at South African bulbs Veltheimia Capensis or Bracteata. Looks like one or the other. From the photos, Capensis has a more grey blue leaf colour whilst the latter has a more glossier leaf.
