Disturbed adult hedgehog

While taking some overgrown ivy back yesterday I disturbed a hibernating hedgehog by removing some leaves from above him but without touching him. I thought I had got away with it but today he is not there. Will he be OK

    It is possible that he woke up at dusk, has gone snuffling about, and found somewhere else to sleep come dawn. The weather has been pretty mild lately and many hedgehogs have come out of hibernation and are feeding. Do you put out food and water out for hedgehogs? 
    I don't think you have anything to worry about  :)
