Identify some plants please

    Oh and the muscari in the pics. I guess these are muscari armeniacum? They are literally all over the borders. A nice display at the moment but i'm worried that they will smother any other perennials i want to plant. There is so much foliage too in the shady parts with no flowers at all. I guess i'll have to start digging up some clumps of these to control them.

    I also think spiraea and elder. I think elder is a much underrated plant.  Elderberries would be hailed as a superfood and very expensive in supermarkets were it not that they are too squishy to package and transport.

    The blackbirds got most of my elderberries, but I got enough to make elderflower jelly, syrup and some elder balsamic vinegar :)

    Me too - with us it grows in the deepest of shade under some pine/fir trees, and it's fast growing, which is just what I need. I also got the purple-leaved variety ('Black Lace' I think) but discovered, belatedly, that this is slow-growing. Rats.
