Dahlia Tubers

I've been busy in the greenhouse potting on Dahlia Tubers, some of which have detached a 'sausage'! Should these be discarded or will they form a new plant? I potted a couple in hope!

    All depends if they have a growing point which is often called an eye. When I first started growing dahlias I used to try the same but I didn’t have any success at all so tend to just discard them now.

    Although it’s maybe still worth a try if u have the space.

    Thank you, I hate to discard anything which has a chance, I kept a 2 ounce puppy from our litter and now she's a whopping 4 stone beautiful Labrador!

    Haha, bit different to a dahlia but seems a good choice nonetheless.
