Bedding plants

It's my first year gardening.I've planted all my bedding from seed in home a bit of advice please.All my seedlings now have a few good leaves on them and was wondering if I should now start giving a liquid fertilizer if so how often. Also my spare room is now resembling a jungle so would like to move them into cold greenhouse,a neighbour has has gave me a paraffin heater to use overnight what are your thoughts.

First things first. Are they big enough to be in individual pots? or are they just though the soil. What are they? What growing medium did you use? All need answers before we can give an opinion.

Hello Teriannemily, I don't know what part of the world/u.k. you are living in. If you are having night time temperatures below zero, then I would keep them just where they are. In view of the fact that your seedlings have a few good leaves on them I would imagine they are fairly strong, well developed little plants so personally I would put them in the cold GH but not too close to the glass, I have little perspex lids for my seedlings but once they develop three or four leaves I leave them uncovered. I do open the GH doors and windows on a good sunny day, try to keep the temperature around 15 degrees if possible.

You don’t need to feed young plants until they are in big pots. They’ll get all they need from the compost.

Thanks all yes they are all healthy and have now potted on in individual pots. I'm in the Midlands and have kept a record of temperature over the last week and no frosts as of yet. What a fabulous forum I've learnt so much by just reading posts on here.Happy gardening 😁😋
