Help idenitfy a berry

recently discovered this Berry under the hedge in our new home anyone know what it is? If it’s edible or poisonous etc

    That is a Ribes ... flowering currant  :-)

    It's a flowering currant, so it's a Ribes [sanguineum] but not the fruiting kind. Those are the emerging flowers  :)
    It doesn't require much care. It'll generally just get on with things, so no need to worry. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    That will have berries, pretty insignificant ones, but the birds will love them 👍
