Slugs never seen before

I was clearing away an old tarpaulin and these slugs were inside. Never seen slugs like this before. Are they more of a problem than normal slugs? They are vile and change quickly from small to worm like with a flat head.
Also why are there huge green slugs now??
Thanks

Cant see Pic 1 clearly, but 2 & 3 look like New Zealand Flatworms to me

Don't look like any slugs I've seen before. Are they perhaps New Zealand flatworms? I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will help.

Me neither guys - giving me the heebie jeebies!!!!! I will do that and try to trap them & dispose. They are in my wooded area that I am trying to restore. Horrible blighters. Not actually seen them in the main garden so fingers crossed. xx

Another vote for NZ flatworms here.  Not good as they eat earthworms.

Not a lot you can do about them either except dispose of the ones you find and be very careful about spreading them to new parts of the garden or other gardens via soil or compost attached to plants.

Hi just Google flatworms and then clicked on images at the top of the page and loads came up. Other half said it looks like a young eel but you need to be near a river for them.

OK just been all over the net looking for fast moving slug, slug with a snout and I have learned a lot about different slug but not your one. Why now put it in something and get in touch with your local environmental department. If it is something nasty the will know.

Will do thanks. I have put out an old compost bag with a stone on it so hopefully get some tomorrow especially with all that rain. Thanks Dee73 x
  • Shudder. Yeah the head looks different to the flat worms i've seen.

Not a slow worm because they don't go small.

Interested to find out how this one goes.
