    I do get a lot of ground feeders but they don't seem to clear the lot. I am hoping to get paving stones underneath in the not too distant future. @Lyn
    Thanks for those links @Picidae. It is quite worrying. Think I might just forget about nijer seed now and carry on with the sunflower seeds.

  • Thank you for everybody comments on my post. I have decided on getting a new feeder and get my sunflower hearts.

    I always have lots of finches enjoying the hearts so maybe not worth the bother.

    Am I correct in thinking you don't live in the UK mrssteveearsom? Here they are brown/ grey/beige and not colourful in the accepted sense.
