Bare root rose planting

Good evening!

I am a newbie to gardening and have found I am rather enjoying it! Last week I planted a bare root pink rose bush but I didn't soak it as it said on the back. I didn't know I had to do this! It looks like the little buds on it have started to turn pink? Does this mean the plant is dying or could this be the stems/flowers growing? Hope I haven't killed it off before its even started life! Many thanks :)

The young leaves of roses are often pinkish ... the plant contains the colours that are going to be in the petals ... so I wouldn’t worry ... sounds normal to me.

As as long as the plant roots didn’t dry out, and you watered it well after planting I think it’ll be fine  :)
