    Could have easily done, rubytoo, except perhaps the glads, remind me too much of dame edna!

     I agree to points from each side  I buy plants etc from local nurseries , GCs and supermarkets.

     having just bought 3 clematis from Morrison's at under £2 each I've had clematis from a GC paid   much more ..but it was a bigger ,more established plant

     Now This is only my opinion  ..........and i understand      we all have our own opinions and are entitled to , but I believe that these days  like supermarkets the GC has to diversify in what it sells to survive. 
    And at the bottom line it is all down to the  individual .
    I can't really condemn any one  as I myself fluctuate. 
    But I do find that if I want to split a plant into three there have been suitable plants at each.

     Today I plan to take  cuttings from the clematis  and split some garden centre plants
