Best mail order company

BrexiteerBrexiteer Posts: 955
Right I've ordered and recieved all my catalogues from all the major and a few smaller companies. Which one is the best for quality in plants and customer services ? I've messaged Thompson and Morgan twice in 2  days but I've had zero reply which is not good

Depends on what you're looking to order, but The Secret Garden Club is very good, free delivery on orders over £10. Only thing is you are limited to what they have in stock, but they send a list out every week if you sign up to their email. Lots of good reviews here

I would say the same Secret Gardens are very good on price and quality of plants
I’ve used Longmore and Paddocks Plants for bigger plants in 2 to 3 litre pots and their quality is very good except delivery of a larger plant is normally high on delivery costs

Another vote for Secret Garden Club!
I've had good quality plants from Sarah Raven but they're not cheap.

Thank you all for your replies. I've never heard of the secret garden club off to Google it now. Paddocks does look good and I've had from Sarah raven last year they were very good with the plants and customer services. Giving up on Thompson and morgan

Have a look at the link that AnniD posted - they give us discount codes for friends when we buy stuff, and we post them on there.

I found Jparkers good value for money (with always some Freebie) and good choice.

It also depends what you're looking for, Marc.
The Secret Garden has been very successful, and lots of members here have used it. Plants are well packaged and arrive promptly.
For bulbs, it's hard to beat Peter Nyssen, as they're a quality company, and sell a quality product.
For clematis, I wouldn't look past the specialists either - Taylor's, Thorncroft and Hawthorne's.
I recently used a nursery in Ireland called Ballyrobert [for some perennials] and they were excellent.
Claire Austin's hardy Plants, and Burncoose are also very highly regarded companies.

I don't often use online companies, as I have a very good nursery less than an hour away. I use them if I want a specific plant though.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Apart from three palnts, I have both everything from J. Parker’s, cheap and cheerful, I bought their packets of perenials in 2012 when I first started this garden, they’ve spread and I’ve teansplanted bits.  Now I sow everything from seeds, but the originals, when all I had was bare earth were from Parker’s.
Ive got several shrubs as well, they were 1.99 at the time, all grown to big shrubs now ove the past 5 years.
Everything grows given the right treatment and soil conditions,
