Passionflower

I've had my passionflower stored in the garage over winter and it's still been growing. However do I need to cut it back ready for this year and when should I do it?

What colour is it, if its the usual purple they are hardy.  We cut ours back after flowering. Also, I word of warning we had one of those willows obelixs, cost a lot of money, only lasted a year before falling to bits, do you have anywhere else to plant it?

Yes it's the purple one. Did you cut it right back?

Neighbours got one growing on a trellis  attached to the fence it's been out there for two years and is green all the time and it has orange fruit. I'm always pulling the seedlings up found one today.

I ve it and its bit of a crazy plant. Bought a mini one from Morrisons for 1.70£ and in its first year it already reached top of a 3.5 m pergola. In next season it was already 4-5 m along the fence.

Its planted together with a honeysuckle and a climbing rose but those 2 seem like ‘slow coaches’ compared to it. The only thing i found a bit disappointing is that flowers are not too plentiful, showy and relatively small in size.
