Itchy fingers

Is it still to early even though it's lovely and mild to lift and devide some perennials or pot up some self seeded plants. I have some geum plants that need moving and/or deviding and some sedums. The seedlings are geum and Jacobs ladder. Thank you for any replies in advance

I think the weather is about to change back to winter. Fine to lift and pot if you have a cold frame or greenhouse to put them in and give them some protection. Otherwise I would wait a couple of weeks.
  • Can't wait I've got this Sunday off and my only other time off is for the Cheltenham races where I lose all my money 😂😂😂 joking aside I could wait but it will be about 5 weeks before any spare time. It's an area about 8 foot across by 16 foot down and every plant in there is going to be for the bees and butterflies

I would say, trust no one, especially mother nature. This weather is like April when we would divide, but it is the hottest few days in February on record. I would go with what you are used to in your area. Good luck at the races though.

The weather is going to get a bit cooler from tomorrow (back to normality) !!
Personally I wouldn't hesitate to divide now before the plants start growing .
    Good luck anyway !!
