dahlia winter storage

Hi I storaged a couple of Dahlias over winter for the first time, they now seem to be signs of activity though they are not being watered or in any nutritious soil, should I move to a warmer area and start to water?

    They won't need any more heat. So long as they are frost free, the main thing they will need is light and a little water if they are dry.
