Fibre pots for seedlings (drainage holes?)

Should I be putting drainage holes in the bottom of these small fibre pots?

Will water not leach out through the fibre ?

    No need they are porous

I agree with Perki and Debs. I always soak mine in water briefly before planting in them. This prevents them taking the water out of the compost.

Yes if anything they seem to dry out more quickly than plastic but I try to use them rather than buying plastic we all have to do our bit don’t we?

Bonus is there is no root disturbance as you plant the whole kit and caboodle into the ground.

Soaking is a good idea LB.  Never done that before filling and sowing or pricking out but I did find found module type trays with holes that are just the right size for holding some of these pots and those did very well last year.
