Lovely @Ffoxglove! I’ve had the exact same experience. The first thing I planted when I moved into my house 3 years ago (and before I knew anything about gardening) was a Jasmine polywhatsit by the front door. Like yours, each year it’s grown and got loads of buds but never actually flowered then, this year...
The smell coming through the door and upstairs window is divine! Still looooooads more buds to open yet too. It’s worth the wait! Love your cosy raised beds/corner. 😊
Snap! @Lastboat I wouldn't be without it now. Think they will do best south facing. Mines east facing so lot the best. I will make sure I fleece it in cold weather each winter and I hope for lots of jasmine again next year
Just thought I'd add to this thread something I've noticed about my jasmine. I pruned it after flowering as it is a very vigorous grower. But! I noticed the back of the plant which grows on the other side of my fence and which I cannot reach to prune is in full flower. Again! Has anyone else had two flushes on theirs? I thought it was only one flush in spring? F x
