What is this small tree with white flowers?

These pictures were taken this morning (February 24th).

  • Cannot see detail clearly.
    Probably an early flowering Cherry...such as Prunus avium.

    It has the look of a type of Clematis montana,even the green leaves look similar,what a lovely spring surprise!

    Close up of the leaves, don't think it’s a clematis,   Several photos, all much the same Nut, and too far away.  Assuming the OP means this one? 

    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

    My guess is Prunus incisa 'The Bride' which flowers in Feb/Mar in some parts..

  • Thanks for responses . It’s not prunus Avium as I have that planted in my garden and that flowers later.
    its not clematis as that is a climber.
    i think prunus Incisa is best guess so far. Unless anyone has other guesses.
