I once knew a woman in Belgium, of Glaswegian origins and who had spent a few years in New York before moving to Belgium for her husband's work. She imported her sporty US car with its registration "CU J1MI".
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
A friend from Glasgow told me once that her old auntie was called as a witness in Court. The judge was not from Glasgow. She was asked to describe what she saw. She began “Ah wiz keekin’ in the windae...” and the judge asked for a translation.
I'm born and bred here, but even I need a translator sometimes when I watch the Scottish news if there's a broad Glaswegian on being interviewed.
Broad Glaswegian - plenty of them around too Love the car regs too. I think there's a sheep wumman [no need to translate there] with something similar. 'Ewe' connection I think.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

That looks sort of plural to my untutored eye. Will remember if I ever need to write it again😉
Remember - you don't need plurals when describing something either.
For example - 'Haven't seen that bloke for ten year'
No need for superfluous letters.

Reminds me of a car reg I've seen a few times on the A11 ... CUM 8YE .... I presume the driver keeps sheep ... or Border Collies.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
